Saemaul and International Development major
Saemaul and International Development major seeks to cultivate future leaders in the field of international development cooperation who are equipped with not only theoretical knowledge and practical competence but also creative problem-solving capability and leadership skills. Students will be introduced particularly to the development of the Saemaul Undong, its success factors, its current form and its globalization in addition to the meaning, purpose and strategies of international development cooperation. Emphasis will be placed on the study and research of ‘Sustainable Self-Development Assistance Models’ which could be derived from the Saemaul Undong, Korean rural development experience. Students will practice to apply core components and strategies of Saemaul Undong to international development projects in different developing countries.
Saemual and Economic Development major
The program of ‘Saemaul and Economic Development Major’ offers a unique opportunity to explore and gain hands-on experience with Korea's Saemaul Undong as well as various economic and social development models. This program is designed to merge theoretical knowledge with practical skills, fostering professionals capable of addressing the demands of an evolving global economy and trade landscape.
A key aspect of this program is its emphasis on developing students' capacity to navigate and adapt to the rapidly changing global environment. This educational approach cultivates a keen sense of identifying sustainable development strategies, while also equipping students with effective administrative and management techniques.
The goal of the “Saemaul and Economic Development Major" program is to contribute to the sustainable development of the international community, ensuring positive impacts on both the global economy and individual nations' growth.
